An international tender is underway for the rehabilitation of water supply and wastewater
systems of the villages and the semi-urban settlements of Ajara. The international tender
packages announced for the rehabilitation of communal infrastructure have been opened today.
Within the framework of the current international tender, the infrastructure will be arranged in
the municipalities in the following semi-urban areas and villages:
The Municipality of Khulo: Daba Khulo, Okruashvilebi, Duadzeebi, Lower Vashlovani, Dioknisi,
Dekanashvilebi, Upper Dekanashvilebi, Ganakhleba, Dzirkvadzeebi, Tkhiladziri, Gurdzauli and
Dzmagula.
The Municipality of Shuakhevi: Daba Shuakhevi, Gomarduli, Skhepi, Skhepela, Ghoreketi, Ternali,
Tsankalauri, Varjanauli, Tchala, Tskarota, Brili, Upper Khevi, Baratauli, Zhanivri,
Kviakhidzeebi, Gogadzeebi and Tbeti.
The Municipality of Keda: Daba Keda, Tibeta, Vaio, Akutsa, Milisi, Uchkhiti, Kosofeli and
Arsenauli.
The Municipality of Khelvachauri: Erge, Jocho, Kirnati and Kobaleti.
The Municipality of Kobuleti: Lower Kvirike, Mukhaestate settlement, Ochkhamuri, Tsetsakhlauri,
Jikhanjuri and Chakvistavi.
The tender is being conducted in accordance with the international, competitive bidding
procedure and methodological qualification requirements of the KfW Bank procurement.
As a result of the rehabilitation of water supply and wastewater systems, up to 30,000 people
across the Ajara will benefit from modern infrastructure.
The program in Ajara is being implemented within the framework of German-Georgian Financial
Cooperation and EU financial support to Georgia. The budget is 59.5 million euros.
